Well it's been so long just seem to run out of time before I can get back here, unlike my niece Ms Jaime, who seems to stay so current on their happenings, must be a youth thing!. On top of not sure I remember how to do everything that I was getting pretty good at. Oh well, now where to start, guess it will be at the most current happenings.
Every since last years trip to DisneyWorld, all Joshua has talked about has been going to St. Louis to see Aunt Donna and cousin Ashley, so decided what better time than the 4th of July. Packed up Great grandma, myself, husband, Cheryl, Tom, Joshua (5) soon to be 6, and Zachary (2) onto a 3 hour (full) flight to St. Louis. But must say the boys were very good travelers, Zachary was asleep almost before take off and Josh watched movies on the PSP and of yes snacked.
My nephew, Eric, has a house that sits right next to a park where they have an annual 4th of July fireworks, so it is the Party House for the 4th, bar-b-q, cold beer, new friends, what more could you want for an old fashioned 4th. Oh Yes SNOWCONES
Oh yes and Zachary loved Unlce E's motorcycle until he started it up!
Cheryl & Tom took the boys and Ashley down to the science museum to see the T-Rex exhibit, and to the Magic House on a couple of day trips. I went with them to Grant's Farm on one trip, along with my niece Kim. Oh yes and then a quick trip for the ladies to the "Asian" store and no it's not a grocery shop with hanging ducks, chickens etc. it's an import store full of great costumn jewerly, purses, and all kinds of other dodads! Rest of the time was spent fixing quick breakfasts, and dinner enjoyed out on their deck. And if we were lucky sometimes in the morning we'd see all kinds of critters, they got to see a deer come up to try and graze on Aunt Donna's flowers, squirrels, and Josh saw a black snake crawl into "the black pipe"
Of course the big event for Josh and Ashley was seeing that fireworks are sort of legal there, we made a pit stop to a fireworks display the day after when everything was marked down, so in the evenings for the next few nights they got to do sparklers, roman candles, thunder shots and cousin Kim shot off some firecrackers and bigger rocket items for them!
Oh yes and of course the most important little trip for us adults, anyway, was the quick trip out to the winery for some Adam's Choice mmmmm. Oh and least I forget in the evenings the perfection of the "Lemon Drops" Ok now we'll see if we can remember how to do the pictures in slide.
